Position Summary:
The Master Machinists ensure each MTS customer receives all ordered machine parts used in manufacturing equipment in a timely manner.
Functional Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Ensures all machined parts ordered through the Engineering Department are in conformance with established quality standards.
§ May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.
§ Must be able to review blueprints and specifications of a particular product and plan the production process
§ Must have a thorough knowledge of many kinds of machine tools; manual lathes, milling machines, and band saws used in the manufacture of close tolerance parts and components.
§ Be able to perform the machining operations, watch for problems in the production process, and check the accuracy of the finished piece against blueprints.
§ Competent in the utilization of all mathematical tools, i.e. fractions, decimals, ratios, etc. so as to properly calculate feeds and speeds of machine tooling and equipment used in the machining and inspection of all produced parts and components.
§ Meet or exceed all productivity targets for the effective production of high quality parts and components.
§ Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Engineering and Technology -- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

The Quality Engineer- Consumable Operations is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of an effective quality management system and tools to support the production of high quality consumable products at MTS.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the Vice President- Global Consumable Operations and the Quality Director in establishing, implementing and maintaining the Consumable Operations quality management system.
· Manage the Quality Inspector to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
· Establish and analyze quality data, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve performance to meet annual objectives.
· Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
· Be responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, utilizing a variety of tools including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology.
· Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
· Conduct internal audits, document audit findings and determine appropriate corrective and preventive actions

Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures and guidelines established for utilization of all carriers, i.e. UPS, FedEx, LTL trucking companies, etc., are followed.
§ Warehousing and Inventory:
Affecting the utilization of an effective warehousing and locator system
Ensuring the timely receipt, tagging and storage of all finished goods.
Verification and preparation of “picking tickets” at least 4 times daily.
Accurate receipt of all materials from receiving noting damages, shortages, etc.
Mandated cycle counts and physical inventory counts are effectively completed.
§ Reporting:
Proper and accurate reporting of received and shipped goods is maintained as accurate in all computer systems used to track goods and materials, i.e. UPS, FedEx, Bluegrace, etc.

Position Summary:
The Controls Engineer position is a key role that is responsible for designing Electrical and Pneumatic systems that control MTS’ packaging machinery. Duties include: Electrical and Pneumatic system design, machine debug, machine setup and alignment, procedural documentation, and component failure analysis.
Functional Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for designing the Electrical and Pneumatic Systems for use in MTS punch card packaging machines.
§ Perform the Controls Debug by powering on the system, programming all functional components such as PLC’s, motor amplifiers, temperature controllers, etc. and verify their proper operation.
§ Machine Setup and Alignment, including “teaching” servo motor positions, calibrating heat sealing components, adjusting flow controls, and setting sensors for proper detection.
§ Create Standard Operating Procedures.
§ Assist in performing root-cause analysis on the failed component.
